About Christmas Wishes
Four dedicated volunteers based in Burgess Hill, West Sussex — making sure no local child goes without a gift on Christmas morning.
How it all started
Christmas Wishes began with a Christmas party for underprivileged children in 2013. Since then, we have helped children every single year in the Burgess Hill area — what started as a small effort has grown into a much-loved annual appeal that touches many lives each year.
Every year, from October through to mid-December, we collect new and unwrapped toys, gifts, and food donations from the generous people of Burgess Hill and the surrounding area. We work with community organisations to identify families who need support, and we deliver everything before Christmas Eve.
We are run entirely by four ladies — all volunteers. Every penny raised through our cupcake fundraising and donations goes directly to the families we support. There are no salaries and no overheads beyond our public liability insurance.
